Amanda Lantz, Licensed Professional Counselor Amanda Lantz, Limited Licensed Professional Counselor

Meet Amanda Lantz

Hello, my name is Amanda and I am so glad you are here! It takes great courage and bravery stepping into the journey of healing and transformation. I am a therapist dedicated to providing attuned care with a trauma-informed lens, grounded in a person-centered approach, and attachment theory. I am empathic, and bring a warm presence to all of the clients I serve.

My specialization lies in supporting individuals through grief and loss, including perinatal loss, depression, anxiety, and trauma. This includes unique experiences such as betrayal trauma and the impact of porn addiction on a partner. Prior to the field of counseling, I worked as a hospice nurse case manager caring for homebound clients for 10 years.

I firmly believe that true healing requires journeying through challenging seasons rather than attempting to go over, around, or under them. I am committed to walking alongside individuals as they navigate their healing process. As Brene Brown wisely said, "We don’t have to do it all alone, we were never meant to.” I am passionate about fostering a sense of community and connection in the therapeutic journey. I am well versed in the community resources available in providing holistic care. I have previously worked as a client advocate and resource coordinator, providing options counseling to those facing a pregnancy decision.

As a therapist, I offer a compassionate and non-judgmental space for individuals to explore their experiences, process their emotions, and ultimately discover their inherent worth, inner strength, and resilience. It is my belief that through authentic connection and support, true healing and flourishing are not only possible but achievable.

On a personal note, I am married to my best friend, Matt Lantz. We have been married 16 years and have three children. Our oldest joined our family through adoption 2 years ago. For fun, you can find me catching a sunset on Lake Michigan, paddle boarding, taking a hike, reading, and trail running. My faith in Jesus Christ is central to who I am and my most important relationship; I aim to fully find my rest in Him. I do not impose my values on any of the clients I serve, but will gladly incorporate faith and spirituality when desired.
